Rising Leaders Institute
About the Program
A Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Greater Omaha (ynpnGO) program featuring Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM) sponsored content, the Rising Leaders Institute (RLI) is a one-year, cohort-based program that gives early-career nonprofit professionals the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to achieve a nonprofit leadership position through mentoring and facilitated discussion with subject matter experts.
Expectations of RLI participants:
- Attend all six regular sessions:
Session 1 was February 20th
Session 2 is April 16th
Session 3 is June 18th
Session 4 is August 20th
Session 5 is October 15th
And Session 6/graduation is December 10th - Pay $150 tuition. Scholarships are available.
Why invest in employees applying for RLI:
- NAM staff, subject matter experts and leaders in the nonprofit sector facilitate programming.
- Sessions focus on Leading Yourself and Leading With Others. Topics include:
o Emotional intelligence and self-awareness in the workplace
o Leadership though an equity, inclusion & justice lens
o Self-advocacy and owning your own professional development - Participants will have opportunities to learn through small group discussion and exercises, and are encouraged to practice techniques in their workplace.
- Develop deep relationships and a network of among class members.
- All class members receive recognition at the annual NAM Summit.
